ONECHILD IS A COMMUNITY OF CHILD CHAMPIONS!

Child Champions are people who love kids and work to help them thrive. OneChild comes in and connects sponsors with children-at-risk in extremely poor areas to meet basic needs and help them find hope.

IS THE PROBLEM TOO BIG?

There are over 400 million children living in extreme poverty throughout the world today. COVID-19 and its impact on the global economy has made things much worse. It’s easy to become so overwhelmed with the problem that you become paralyzed because of it. And even though you may not be able change things for the 400 million children struggling today, you can change the world for one child. What if a few dollars a month – less than a $2 a day – could give a child in poverty everything they need to break out of generations of poverty that have enslaved their families?

WHAT DOES A CHILD CHAMPION DO?

FAITH

First, a Child Champion gives their child the opportunity to learn about God and His purpose for their life. By doing this, they break the cycle of poverty and change a child’s future.

EDUCATION

Next, a Child Champion helps their child with their studies, so they are taught problem-solving, leadership, literacy, and life skills. Education is power. And Child Champions give their children that power.

HEALTH

A hungry child can’t learn, and if they don’t learn they can’t follow God’s purpose for their life. Because of this, Child Champions commit to seeing children receive nutritious food and supplements and have access to medical check-ups and the help they need to fight common diseases.

COMMUNITY

Finally, children are encouraged to socialize with others, while they receive instruction in sports, music, and drama. This helps them learn the communication and interpersonal skills essential for becoming the leaders who will help their villages and nations thrive in the future.

ONECHILD: A HOLISTIC APPROACH

As a Child Champion you will build a meaningful relationships with your child and bring them hope. You will write them letters, pray for them, and support them.. And this support speaks volumes. Your child is seen, known, protected, and championed.  

Your gift goes directly toward a child’s growth in four different areas.

• Health – providing children with nutritious food, supplements and medical care
• Education – schooling or tutoring to help children succeed in their education
• Faith – encouraging children in their faith
• Community – creating opportunities for socialization, play and exploration
